I broke up the workshop into two different blogs. Details and the Bride. We had a model that we got to pose and shoot. Our model did a wonderful job, even though it was a bit cold at the end! The dress had a shear over lay with blush in the tool skirt. Then when you took it off it was a fitted white dress. What a great way to have two looks for your wedding day!

It's all in the details! Wedding planning is a long detailed process. The Bride spends time planning each small detail to perfection. So, it's important to shoot the details. It paints a picture of the look and feel of the wedding. Most guests will see the big picture, but picking out those small details and photographing them will give the Bride a visual remembrance of the wedding!
The following are the details that I was able to shoot at the Sam Stroud Unity workshop at West Manor. The workshop was styled by Social 10 Events and Elle Dee Designs.
Mundy and Keri got married at the beautiful Avoca Museum in Altavista VA. It was a beautiful day! The Avoca Museum is a beautiful Queen Anne Victorian House. The grounds are beautiful with large trees for plenty of shade.

I LOVE how this session turned out. Since the day of their wedding the wind was blowing at top speeds we decided to do an after session. Rained threatened us and it drizzled a bit but it stopped and we got some great images. I always have a great time photographing these two.

Last Saturday I spent the afternoon with this wonderful couple. They were fun to shoot and went along with whatever I came up with, a photographers dream. We started at the Butterfly exhibit at Center in the Square and then went up to the Hotel Roanoke. We even got the dogs in on it, what a beautiful family!! I am really looking forward to their wedding in May!!
